Damage from Severe Thunderstorms Leads to Urgent Renovations

After several severe thunderstorms at the end of 2023, RUMC and its parsonage property suffered severe damage. This resulted in several urgent and costly renovation projects, including addressing water damage, upgrading the HVAC systems, and fixing leaking roofs.

Throughout 2024, with your generous donations and prayers, we have made significant progress in maintaining and enhancing our church facilities to better serve our congregation and the wider community.

Renovation Update: Progress and Improvements

We are happy to report that our renovation is moving forward smoothly:

Repaired water damage: We've repaired the water damage in the social hall and upstairs classrooms. This included patching up leaks, drywall demolition and replacement, and mold remediation.
Attic upgrade: We did a major clean up, added new insulation, and made the space pest-proof.
HVAC upgrade: We've improved our HVAC system to ensure better airflow in the social hall.

These updates aren’t just about improving our building—they’re about creating a space where we can grow in faith, welcome new members, and continue serving our community.
